Ann C. Cupka

At-Large District Supervisor

Ann “Annie” C. Cupka was elected to the King George County Board of Supervisors in November 2019. She currently serves as the King George Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Services Department Liaison to the Board of Supervisors, as well as on the King George Service Authority Board of Directors. She previously served as Chair of the Board of Supervisors in 2021 and served on the County’s Redistricting Committee, as well as the Rappahannock Regional Jail Board of Directors 2021-2022.

Cupka previously worked as King George County’s Economic Development/Grants Specialist from 2017-2019 and worked for King George County Schools as a paraprofessional and a substitute teacher from 2011-2017. She chaired King George Education Foundation from 2016-2019, and led the effort to create the FoxSmart Center, a one-stop shop for school supplies and hygiene items for teachers, their students, and families in need. While serving on the Potomac Elementary School PTA, she led the effort to install the Courtyard Learning Garden in 2016 and was recognized as the School Division, Fredericksburg District, and Virginia PTA statewide Elementary School Volunteer of the Year for her outreach efforts to youth.

Prior to moving to King George in 2005, she was a police officer in Northern Virginia and was honored as her community’s VFW Law Enforcement Officer of the Year in 2003. She responded to the terror attack on the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. She received a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice from The Pennsylvania State University in 1994.

Cupka is committed to serving her community and representing King George. She lives with her husband and two children who have attended King George County Schools since kindergarten.
