The King George County Department of Social Services Administrative Board meets on a monthly basis for the purpose of providing leadership to the staff of the King George County Department of Social Services (KGDSS), such as:
- Establishing, reviewing, and revising local policy decisions for KGDSS,
- Providing discretionary authority over local funding from both public and private sources,
- Reviewing the performance of the KGDSS department and personnel to ensure compliance with established performance targets, and
- Establishing provisions for a variety of Child Protective Services, Adult Protective Services, and the placement of children and adults in foster homes or other care facilities as needed.
Board meetings are typically scheduled on the 4th Monday of each month at 5:30pm in the King George Social Services Conference Room (10069 Kings Highway, King George, VA 22485).
