Summer Rugby

King George Youth Rugby is excited to combine with Culpeper Rugby for Virginia Summer 7s! Summer 7s is played in tag (U6, U8, U10, U12) and tackle (U12, U14, U16/U18) formats with teams of 7 players on a field at a time. Games are in Tournament format, with 3 to 4 (14 minute) games played in Alexandria, Springfield, Loudoun County, Centreville, Vienna, Great Falls, Culpeper and/or Richmond. Games typically start around 9:00 AM to be done before 1:00 PM.

State Championships Tournament in Culpeper:

Practices will be held Mondays and Wednesdays in King George at Sealston Sports Complex from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM. Those interested can join Culpeper’s practices Tuesday and Thursday nights. Transportation will be available via the head coach from King George to Culpeper, if interested in the extra practices (first come, first served).

TACKLE RUGBY: Ages 10-14 (Register under “Youth”)

TACKLE RUGBY: Ages 15-18 (Register under “High School”)

Your athlete will be assigned to his/her team based on age as of 9/01/2023. If you have already registered for Spring Rugby with King George, please register with Culpeper via RugbyXplorer and let Lorenzo Smith know that you have registered. Cleats and mouth guard will be required for tag and tackle. Rugby shorts are also required for tackle. Order information for uniforms will be provided at a later time.
